In this episode, we discuss why the Lord commanded the killing of men, women, and children when Israel entered the Promised Land. Why did the Lord command this? Did the people have any warning? Was the Lord just? What about the children?
A recording of our study on the Gospel found in the book of Ruth, and how Christ is our Kinsman Redeemer!
In this episode, we discuss if there are any differences between salvation in the Old Testament vs. New Testament. We look at where the OT believers went before the cross, and what "new" blessing we receive since Christ has ascended.
In this short episode, we discuss Ephesians 2, and whether "by nature children of wrath" really means that by birth, we are under God's wrath. We look at many, many examples of scripture about when God wrath comes, and look at the the Greek for "nature" in Ephesians 2.
Are you all really born condemned to judgment and wrath? In this episode, we discuss the effects humanity receives because of Adam, and the effects that humanity receives because of Christ. We look hard at Romans 5:12-21.
A short segment on children, and how we are to teach and train them in the Lord.
Matt and Billy discuss the approach to evangelism and missions with understanding the Universal Witness (UW), and all the knowledge God has given mankind. They look at "presuppositional evangelism" and if the UW changes how we do missions.
A short article how we can simply observe God's work, His word throughout His creation, as well as men living the Gospel, living in His word, and simply see and respond to God in faith and be saved.
The last part of our series on baptism. We look at the Great Commission, and the 'baptisms' conducted in the book of Acts.
This replaces Blogcast 14. We instead talk about the common response from many on tough topics, when they "appeal to mystery" by saying, "well, we just can't know that on this side of heaven, it's too complicated."
Continuing our baptism discussion, and looking at baptism contained within the OT and the Law, and why Jesus was baptized to 'fulfill all righteousness'.
A recording of our study on the Nature of Man. This study looks at the dichotomous nature of man (Body and Spirit) as well as briefly discussing the "heart" and "mind".
The first of a 3-part series on baptism. In this episode, we discuss how every single person since Adam that has obeyed the Gospel has been baptized into Christ at faith by the Father. The Father sets us apart in Christ at faith.
This is a recording of three short articles:
1) Who is the Creator?
2) Who raised Jesus from the dead?
3) Who is the Judge?
The one related study we didn't mention, is who will raise us to eternal life.
In this episode, Matt and Billy answer some questions on evangelism, the new covenant and the Book of Life.
Going over our study on 1 John 2:19, in that were those who left the faith ever really saved?
This is part 3 of 3 on a study on whether or not a true believer can walk away from their faith.
A reading of our study by the same name, "Apostasy and the removal of the Spirit".
Part 2 of 3 on our discussion on the doctrine of eternal security, or if it is possible for a true believer to abandon the Lord and fall away from the faith.
A recording of our study, The Gospel of John the Baptist, Jesus, and the Disciples.
In this article we will look at John the Baptist, Christ, and the disciples, and show that they taught the gospel before Christ was crucified. We will clearly show that specific knowledge of Christ and His work, specifically His death, burial, and resurrection, was not a requirement to preach the gospel and was not a required piece of knowledge in order to be saved by the gospel.
They taught the same gospel that has been preached since the beginning; repent and trust in God for your salvation, and follow Him in faith. By obeying the gospel, God will forgive you of your sin, and credit you with righteousness, all based on the atoning work of Christ on the cross.
Part 1 of 3 on a series looking at the doctrine of eternal security; on whether a person of genuine faith can abandon their faith and commit apostasy.
In this episode, Matt and Billy discuss some foundations of salvation, specifically the "credits" we receive by faith.
Matt's study on showing that anyone who believes the atonement of Christ is for everybody cannot hold that position unless they agree that God has made a way for all to be saved.
In this episode, Matt and Billy just go through some common questions or comments they get, from listeners.
A recording of our study, Peter's Gospel in Acts 10.
This study examines Peter’s gospel message in Acts 10, where he is preaching to Cornelius’ household about the gospel. We are going to look specifically at who the prophets witness about that we must believe.
This is the continuation of the discussion on whether mankind is able to respond to God's invitation of the Gospel. God illuminates all with the Gospel, and plants the seed of the Gospel within all of us, and does so in order that we can observe and respond in faith. This picks up on discussion the Book of Life.
